BSc (Hons) Ost, Dip Ac/CHM (China), Pg Dip CHM (OB/GYN), Pg Cert US (MSK) MRCHM, BMUS
I trained as an osteopath at the London School of Osteopathy and am registered with the General Osteopathic Council (www.osteopathy.org.uk) and the British Osteopathic Association.
I hold a Post Graduate certificate in Musculoskeletal Diagnostic Ultrasound from Centre of Ultrasound Studies in Bournemouth. My training in hyperbaric medicine was at the DDRC (diving and disease research center).
I have a special interest in fractures, bone healing and slow to heal wounds and I am regularly consulted by injured sports professionals who need to return quickly to competition. I am excited to embrace the many new advances in technology that are increasing the speed of healing and to make them available to our patients.
I have had the valuable opportunity to learn from respected, pioneering physiotherapist, Brian Simpson. We are pleased now to be endorsed by his clinic as we offer the same innovative and effective therapies to significantly accelerate healing of broken bones.
I am also trained in acupuncture, laser therapy, hyperbaric oxygen, pulsed magnetic field therapy and Chinese herbal medicine.
I began my studies in 1993 at the London Academy of Oriental Medicine. I then studied for a further eight months in Nanjing China, working in hospitals alongside renowned Chinese professors treating a wide spectrum of conditions and diseases.
I belong to the register of Chinese Herbal Medicine and previously a Council Member. My passion for herbal medicine has inspired Expert Herbalist (www.expertherbalist.co.uk) a place where many of the clinics favourite and effective prescriptions can be found. I am also a Fellow Member of the Royal Society of Medicine (www.rsm.ac.uk).
I hold a post-graduate diploma in Gynaecology and Obstetrics and am an Associate of the Woman’s Natural Health Practice, Harley Street, London.
I have treated gynaecology issues and infertility and I’m regularly updated with knowledge of the latest methods and research by Dr Trevor Wing’s Clinic, the ‘Woman’s Natural Health Practice’.
I am interested in biomechanical issues that can affect long-term recovery from chronic and acute pain syndromes and I prescribe both custom orthotics and temporary solutions.
I have experience treating many varied conditions, but my particular interests include musculoskeletal conditions, extreme sport injury recovery and accelerated fracture and bone healing.
I have lived in Glastonbury most of my life and, as a member of the community, I am consulted by many local people of all ages for help with pain relief.
